Laptop hard drives having changing nature over the time

It was the time of 2005-06, when laptops started changing from older IDE (PATA) hard drives into SATA hard drive. From user point of view or as long user concerns in between these two, SATA drives are faster than PATA and have different connectors. Cost aspect is going towards SATA because these are cheaper and most common in use. SATA interface only requires few wires; ribbon cables are not required in the case. Hence, assuring more flexibility to those. It simply fits under the space provided for it; no screw is there and no need to bolt them with the hard drive. Remove one screw to take it out and put into an SATA USB interface, only this is the meant for a screw here overall.

In case of external USB enclosure, mount the SATA drive on the circuit card, slide SATA edge connector into the circuit board, tight 1 or 2 screws to hold it. One should not get confused here like you may now boot your laptop with the help of external SATA hard drive. Now, go to the BIOS setting of the laptop make here appropriate changes (USB boot). At that moment when your laptop hard drive has been corrupted, now it is much easy with external hard drive to pull it out or settling it back.
